Spanish La Liga currently has some of the world’s best goalkeepers in their ranks.
With the likes of Ricardo Zamora, Iker Casillas, Victor Valdes and Keylor Navas to name a few, have set the bar high for all goalkeepers in La Liga.

5. Alex Rimero- €20 Million
The 26-year old plays for Real Sociedad.
Rimero started playing in Atletic Bilbao’s youth team in the year 2009.
His professional debut came in a 1-0 loss to Girona FC on 24th August 2015.
He has had several loans spells after that at Levante UD and SD Huesca where he majorly helped them to gain promotion to La Liga for the first time in their history.
However in 2019, Remiro was then sold to their rivals Real Sociedad when the contract talks with the club did not finalised.
He made his Real Sociedad debut on 27th September keeping a clean sheet in a 3-0 home win over Deportivo Alaves.
He recently helped his club win the 2019-20 Copa Del Rey against his old Club Athletic Bilbao.
He kept a total of 14 clean sheets in La Liga last season and conceded 38 goals.
4. Unai Simon- €20 Million
Unai Simon is the number one keeper for Athletic Bilbao. And at the age of 24 Unai Simon has also played for Spain U-19 and U-21 side.
He recently made his debut for the Spanish National team when he received his first call up in August 2020.

To everyone’s surprise Simon started all his side’s Euro 2020 games earlier this summer ahead of David De Gea and also saved two penalties in the shootout against Switzerland in the quarter-finals, but were beaten by Italy this time around. Simon then went on to play in the Tokyo Olympics 2020 and came home with a silver medal after losing to Brazil in the final.
Unai Simon has made a total of 78 appearances for Athletic Bilbao since the 2018-19 season. He kept a total of 9 clean sheets while conceding 40 goals.
3. Thibaut Courtois- €60 Million
Thibaut Courtois is one of the most decorated goalkeepers in the modern day era. The 29-year old Belgian International plays his football for Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Courtois made his name when he played for Genk in their title winning campaign 2010-11 making a total of 41 appearances.
Chelsea then signed him for £8 million.
He was then loaned to Atletico Madrid where he won the UEFA Europa League in 2012, the Copa Del Rey in 2013 and famously clinching the La Liga title in 2014 on the last day of the season against Barcelona.
He also won the prestigious Zamora trophy twice.
Returning to Chelsea in 2014 he helped them to win a Premier League title and a League Cup in what was his first full season for the Blues.
In 2017 Courtois won the Premier League golden glove when Chelsea were once again crowned Premier League champions.
He was also named FIFA best goalkeeper at the 2018 World Cup where he finished 3rd with Begium.
In 2018, Courtois forced his move to Real Madrid, with the Los Blancos paying a total of £35 million for the Belgian international surpassing Jan Oblak as the most expensive keeper in La Liga.
Since then Courtois has won a La Liga title in 2019-20 and also the Zamora trophy in the same year keeping 18 clean sheets for his side and conceding only 19 goals in the whole season.
2. Marc-Andre Ter Stegen- €60 Million
Ter Stegen joined Barcelona from Borussia Mochengladbach in the summer of 2014 for a fee of £12 million replacing a legend between the sticks Victor Valdes.
He shared goalkeeping duties with his fellow teammate Claudio Bravo in his first season at Barcelona.
Ter Stegen won the famous treble being the first choice goalkeeper in both the cup competitions and Claudio Bravo first choice in the League.
He also won the best save of the season award for that spectacular goal-line effort against Bayern Munich in the semi-final of 2014-15 Champions League.
Ter Stegen is known for his wide range of passing from the back and his great reflexes in one-on-one situations.
Ter Stegen has a total of 182 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions.

1. Jan Oblak- €70 Million
Atletico Madrid signed Oblak from Benfica for a reportedly €16 million in the year 2014, to replace Thibaut Courtois who went back to his parent club Chelsea.
Oblak has won the Zamora trophy for four consecutive years from 2016 to 2019.
Oblak recently won the La Liga title with Atletico Madrid last season, and have also won the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Super Cup in 2018.
The Slovenian international has made 231 appearances for Atletico Madrid since joining in the 2014/15 season.
