Declan Rice has undoubtedly been one of the best and most consistent player in the Premier League. Over the last few seasons Rice has found his best form playing as a central midfielder and often dropping deep between the central defenders. Rice has so far been successful to replace long serving player and captain Mark Noble. With Mark Noble probably in his last season at the club, Rice is now become a true leader and is the captain of the West Ham United.
His club form has also earned in a place in the England national team with the midfielder keeping the likes of Jordan Henderson and other midfielders out of the team making a great duo with Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips. David Moyes’ side were beaten 2-1 by Tottenham in the quarterfinals of the Carabao Cup with all goals coming in the first half as Bergwijn and Lucas Moura scoring for the Spurs with Nikola Vlasic’s strike were not enough for the Hammers to force it to penalties.
However even after the loss Declan Rice was in good spirit snd gracious in defeat. The 22 year-old spotted his cousin brother in the crowd who is a Spurs fan but Rice still gave him his shirt despite the freezing weather with temperature being at 3 degree celsius.

West Ham are in the mix for a top four finish this season with hopes of playing Champions League football next season. The Hammers are also doing well in the Europa League. Declan Rice’s form is key to West Ham moving forward and the young midfielder is the man in form at the moment and also a fan favourite.
