UEFA Champions League: Club Brugge vs Manchester City Live Stream, Preview and Prediction
Club Brugge vs Manchester City: After a fantastic last game against Leipzig, Club Brugge will be taking the field against the ever consistent Manchester City who have been struggling a little more than expected in the Champions League. Group A has seen a surprising twist as Club Brugge are currently placed second while Manchester City lay right below them at third.
Club Brugge vs Manchester City: Match Preview
Club Brugge played their last game against RB Leipzig at Red Bull Arena Leipzig. Despite it being an away game for Brugge, they showed great content and emerged victorious by 2-1. The match started off with a mind-boggling effort as winger/midfielder Christopher Nkunku scored the opening goal and granted the lead to Leipzig in the 5th minute of the match. However, despite lacking poorly on possession, Club Brugge found the net twice before the first half to make it 2-1. A 22nd-minute goal by Hans Vanaken and a 41st-minute goal by Mats Rits did the trick and gave them the 3 points, taking them to second place in the group.
As opposed to Brugge’s comeback win, Manchester City are walking into this encounter after a heart-throbbing 2-0 loss against PSG. Idrissa Gueye gave PSG the lead in the 8th minute of the match which certainly sent a strong message to the men in blue. However, City had all the chances on the field to make it even but they failed consecutively and missed out on amazing opportunities. With that happening, Mbappé made a solid run and complemented Messi really well. He returned Messi’s pass back to Messi, who then found the top left corner of the goal to make it a fantastic 2-0 win.
Club Brugge vs Manchester City: Venue
The Jan Breydel Stadium will play host to the upcoming UEFA Champions League fixture between Club Brugge and Manchester City. The venue holds the capacity for as many as 29,062 spectators.
