Karim Benzema is simply unstoppable at this point ! Real Madrid’s french talisman has scored twice within the first 7 minutes of their ongoing match against Athletic Bilbao at the San Mames stadium and has thus pretty much sealed the fate of the game.
With this, he has now scored 19 goals and has provided 8 assists in the 22 games that he played in this season and is the highest goalscorer in the La Liga, miles ahead of anyone else. The French striker is absolutely on fire and along with his partner in crime Viniciuis Jr, he is wroughting havoc against any team that they are facing.
Ahead of the match against Athletic Bilbao, Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti had shown his concern regarding the unavailability of many of their star players who tested positive for COVID-19. He was reluctant to change his usual 4-3-3 formation and ended up sticking to it despite not having suitable men to fill in the gaps of the missing players.
The gamble went smoothly in favour of the Los Blancos as is very well noticeable in the result.

The first goal by Karim Benzema, which he scored at the 3-minute mark, will probably go down as one of the best goals scored in the ongoing La Liga. His right footed shot taken from the left edge of the box curled in beautifully to near the far end of the post. Athletic Bilbao’s goalkeeper Julen Agirrezabala had nothing to do but sit back and watch.
The second goal at the 7th minute mark, which was more of a poacher’s finish, came through a sublime assist by Eden Hazard. The Real Madrid fans would be glad to see the Benzema-Hazard-Vinicius trio finally doing wonders. The goal was also special for Karim Benzema as it was his 400th Career goal.
