Jorginho's back pass almost results in a hilarious own-goal for Chelsea

Arsenal are taking on Chelsea in the mid-week Premier League fixture. The Blues are on a good run notching up two crucial wins back to back against Real Madrid and Manchester City.

A win in this fixture would almost ensure Chelsea’s qualification into the UEFA Champions League next season. Arsenal however have different ambitions as they look to ensure their position in the top-half of the Premier League table cometh the end of the season.

Chelsea have had an impressive defensive record especially at Stamform Bridge under Tuchel and have conceded very few goals since the German’s introduction. However, they do trail 1-0 against Arsenal after 25 minutes due to a Jorginho error.

The Italian midfielder received a pass in from Thiago Silva and played a no-look back pass to Kepa in goal. The pass was way off direction Kepa scrambled off his line to keep it from going into their own net.

Kepa parried the ball but his touch did not go to far as Aubameyang got hold of it inside the penalty box. The striker fed a pass onto the onrushing Emile-Smith Rowe as Chelsea looked to make amends for Jorginho’s error.

The English midfielder struck his first time shot which crippled into the bottom left corner giving Arsenal a lead from an unlikely situation.

Chelsea are still looking to make a come-back into the game and have plenty of time left to do so.
