Kylian Mbappe has done it again for Paris Saint Germain on the big UEFA Champions League night. The French wunderkind scored a stunning goal to give his side a 1-0 lead at halftime against 13-time winners Real Madrid.

Los Blancos started the half with a sense of purpose and vigour as they looked to get an early goal and cancel the advantage which PSG carried into this tie, courtesy of their 1-0 victory in the first leg. However, as the half went on, Madrid lost their attacking threat and Paris enjoyed plenty of the ball in dangerous areas.

Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar all found themselves on the ball plenty of times, as the goal came on a breathtaking counterattack from the Parisians. Real Madrid lost the ball high up the pitch, as Dani Carvajal gave it away to their left-back Nuno Mendes.

Neymar received the ball deep inside his half and threaded a perfect lob pass for Mbappe who had earned himself loads of space down the left attacking flank. He measured himself up against Alaba, and thundered in a powerful shot down the bottom left side of the post, beating Thibaut Courtois on his near post.

The goal has given them a better cushion going into the second half of the match, and being 2-0 up they nearly have the tie in their hands. Paris had the better chances on goal in the first half, and Kylian Mbappe even had a goal disallowed for offside before eventually scoring to give the lead.
