Former NFL linebacker Terrell Suggs was arrested in Arizona late on Tuesday night on two charges, one stemming from assault and one count of offense against public order.
The Scottsdale Police Department, which arrested the legendary linebacker, has stated that the arrest was made over an incident that took place a month ago, on March 10.

Terrell Suggs was booked in Maricopa County and has since been released as per TMZ. The allegations levied against him were not immediately available.
The linebacker was selected 10th overall by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2003 NFL Draft. He went on to become the best pick the team made at number 10 in franchise history, as apart from being regarded as one of the most intimidating players in the NFL, he went on to become the all-time leader in sacks for the team.
Terrell Suggs formed a key part of the early 2000s Baltimore Ravens defense. Regarded as the greatest defensive squad ever assembled, it featured the likes of Ray Lewis, Deion Sanders, and Ed Reed.
Suggs ended his rookie season with 19 solo tackles, 8 assists, 12.0 sacks, 4 fumble recoveries, and one interception in 16 games. It came as no surprise that he went on to win the Defensive Rookie of the Year Award.
Terrell Suggs spent 16 seasons playing for the Baltimore Ravens
He played 17 years in the NFL, 16 of which were spent donning the purple and black in Baltimore. He won a Super Bowl with the Ravens in 2011 in the prominent ‘Harbaugh Bowl’ wherein Jim Harbaugh faced off against his brother John Harbaugh, who coached the San Francisco 49ers.

Suggs joined the Kansas City Chiefs in the final year of his career in 2019, when he went on to win his second Lombardi Trophy by beating the 49ers yet again.
Since retirement in 2019, Suggs has been out of the limelight as he has been staying in Arizona and spending time with his family. He has made cameos in a few movies and was featured in the prominent HBO series Ballers, featuring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
This is the second time that Suggs has been arrested; the first incident took place in 2016 when he was taken into custody for driving with a suspended license and left the scene of an accident. The next hearing in this particular instance is scheduled for the 25th of April; until then, the linebacker has been released by the Scottsdale Police Department.
