The first few years of The Bloodline story are regarded by many as “cinema.” The faction had compelling storylines, intricate characters, and great matches. Two members of the faction, Jey Uso and Sami Zayn, split from the group in 2023. Since then, people have been waiting for a reunion of the OG Bloodline, especially after Roman Reigns comes back to WWE. This may soon be turning into a reality, as the Stamford-based promotion recently teased a potential reunion.
Footage from the latest episode of Monday Night Raw featured Uso and Zayn hyping up fans in the Resch Center arena. The audience repeatedly chanted the Samoan’s iconic catchphrase of “Yeet” and wore his merchandise. The two former Bloodline members also wore comically large gloves while reading out the word.
The two superstars stepped towards each other and performed the iconic handshake that they used to do during their days in The Bloodline. Jey Uso then turned towards the camera and continued to hype up the crowd present there.
Uso and Zayn have a ton of history with each other. The 10x Tag Team Champion never trusted the Intercontinental Champion when he was trying to weasel his way into The Bloodline. It was only at Survivor Series: War Games 2022 that the former NXT Champion finally proved himself and embraced the 38-year-old.
These two were also part of the WrestleMania 39 Night 1 main event. Sami Zayn pinned Jey Uso to become the new Tag Team Champions alongside Kevin Owens. Since then, they have made up and are two of the biggest babyfaces on the red brand.
The wrestling world goes ballistic after WWE teases a reunion of The Bloodline
The wrestling world was elated to see these two characters together again, possibly re-joining the faction. The Bloodline is arguably the greatest professional wrestling storyline of all time and helped kickstart the current wrestling boom.
Many fans also made the case that things have degraded for all parties involved. Uso has lost nearly all of his character depth since separating from The Bloodline. Although Zayn did dethrone Gunther at WrestleMania XL and appears to be having a decent mid-card title reign, it is not even close to his work in the faction.
Furthermore, the current state of The Bloodline is arguably its worst yet. Netizens have expressed disappointment that they continue to repeat the same thing on SmackDown each week and want to see a change. The OG Bloodline joining hands to take on Solo Sikoa‘s evil version of the group will be something fans are clamoring to see.
