It’s better late than never. Two of WWE TV’s most popular figures – Catherine Perry, aka Lana, and Miro, fka Rusev have reportedly renewed their wedding vows. The duo separated somewhere in the winter of 2023, ending seven years of marriage. Though Perry never filed for divorce, Miro did but soon revoked it. But how did they get back on the same page?

In their joint-admission to TMZ Sports, Perry and Miro re-established talks last year in June. It was when the former Rusev returned to the US after a short stay in his homeland of Bulgaria. CJ Perry showed signs of reconciliation with her wrestler-husband after jetting over to his place in Europe for Christmas. As time progressed, they got closer once again.

As of a few weeks ago, better known to WWE fans as Lana and Rusev, they officially reinstated their husband-wife relationship in a small ceremony at an LA church. At present, they’re believed to be living together. A massive hint of the couple getting back on track was recently dropped by Lana herself via Instagram.

The Ravishing Russian made a revelation about Rusev taking her grandfather out for a beer alongside Perry merely four days before he kicked the bucket. She posted a bunch of photos with both of them in which the involved parties appeared to have had the time of their lives. For those who followed Rusev and Lana in WWE, the duo’s heartwarming patch-up means the world to its fanbase.

How did CJ Perry help Miro in her official AEW debut?

Lana made her AEW debut under her real name, CJ Perry, in September 2023. She arrived to the aid of Miro against Powerhouse Hobbs at the company’s All Out pay-per-view. The Super Athlete had made his equally bulked-up opponent tap out after almost a sixteen-minute bout.

After the match, Hobbs snapped and started unloading on Miro. In the form of a surprising backup, Perry made her way out to a stunning ovation. She made a beeline to the ring and even brought a steel chair to curb the menace of Hobbs. The former WWE Superstar had a swing at Hobbs’ back, but to no avail. The latter was about to double down on Perry.

Fortunate for her, Miro got back on his feet and saved his wife from a catastrophe. The following months for Lana in AEW were tough. She once caught a splinter while being backstage for one of the shows. As a result, the 39-year-old developed an MRSA infection, which soon crippled her arm after being initially limited to one of her fingers.

Though it took surgery and some antibiotics, she recovered. Perry was released from her AEW contract in April 2024. Her tenure with Tony Khan‘s promotion was quite underwhelming, especially with how much time she was forced to spend on a hospital bed.

Will CJ Perry and Miro head back to WWE after AEW exit?

About a month ago, All Elite Wrestling finally granted Miro the release he was seeking for months before it was eventually bestowed upon him. It ended a five-year stay. The erstwhile Rusev had been under contract with AEW since 2020. There came a time when both parties allegedly grew apart on creative, leading to disagreements.

Miro was axed by WWE in the spring of 2020, almost a year prior to his wife’s ouster. Nonetheless, now that they’re back together as a couple, it’s rumored that they just might plot a return to WWE. Perry recently hinted at it as well.

Their release came at a time when Vince McMahon was steering the ship. He put Perry in a romantic storyline with Bobby Lashley, forcing Miro to act like a despaired husband on TV. Now that Triple H is heading the main roster creative in WWE, Miro and Perry may jump ship to their former workplace soon.
