Find out what Lando Norris said

McLaren driver Lando Norris has expressed his support to Michael Masi in the McLaren MCL36 launch as he finds the race director had done a lot of good things or decisions in the past. Lando Norris went on to say the ironing out of small incidents from the past, which of course had a big impact, is not the thing that will help f1 to keep its very high philosophy and success.
“I support Michael and I think a lot of other things we did were great last season or the past few seasons that we’ve been working with him. I think a lot of things are good. It’s just ironing out these small things which can have a big impact of course, which is not something we want and Formula 1 needs to be kept to the very high philosophy and success and so on,” Lando Norris said.

Lando Norris went on stress the importance of stewards keeping their decisions consistent as an opposite outcome makes people get annoyed and frustrated. Lando Norris went on to add that keeping consistent 100 percent of the time is hard as race officials do mistakes just like the drivers as they are all just humans and everyone should understand the fact that that’s the way it is.
“I think the obvious thing that we all want is just consistency and when something is inconsistent like that weekend, that is when people get annoyed and frustrated. You make decisions and the team makes decisions upon that consistency and [those] rules and so on. So, when something is shifted or changed then, of course, it will annoy a lot of people or a set of people. I think that is the main thing we want from any of the stewards that we have,” says Lando Norris.
“We just want that consistency and I think what is so hard, you see us make mistakes as drivers and, of course, it’s easy for people to notice that and see those things but it’s the same with them. It’s not easy but it’s human to make mistakes and if that was just something that happened in such a quick time then I think that’s the way it is,” Lando Norris added.
