2021 season had seen one of the best overtakes and fights between Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton with Alonso trying to keep Lewis at the back of his tail for the longest time, in order to let his team-mate, Esteban Ocon win the Hungarian Grand Prix.

The duo, Esteban Ocon and Fernando Alonso will be seen sharing the screen together as they continue as team-mates even for the 2022 season with Esteban Ocon excited to be part of the unveiling of the new A522 in Paris. He was very enthusiastic to be a part of the showing of the new era’s 2022 challenger.

Esteban Ocon had a rough start with Alpine where one of his first races ended with him hitting the Aston Martin driver, Sebastian Vettel with his team-mate, Fernando Alonso being forced to retire after his car over heated due to debris. Even after the difficult start to season of 2021, Ocon was able to get back on track with a spectacular race at the Hungarian Grand Prix, giving him hope to achieve the same form even for the 2022 season.

The new A522 was announced earlier with the squad showing off their livery in an online launch. With the unveiling of the new car, only one team is left to show off their car before all the teams are officially done presenting their 2022 challenger to spectators with new colour combinations and styles.

During the presentation, Ocon revealed his excitement for the launch and said, “I’m very excited, of course, to not only see the A522 for the first time but to drive it for the first time this week.”

Ahead of the 2022 season, Ocon wanted to acknowledge the team efforts put in the making of the A522 and his commitment towards putting forth is best performance for the upcoming season he said,

“It’s always a privilege to drive a new Formula 1 car for the first time as you know all the hard work that has gone on behind the scenes at both factories in Enstone and Viry from all of the many talented people working in the different departments there. That feeling and responsibility is truly unique and very special. I feel prepared, I feel ready physically, so let’s hit the track and see what we’ve got in our hands this year!”
