FIA provides fresh and latest update on Abu Dhabi GP investigation

FIA

The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile or, simply the FIA, has released a statement confirming that no decision has been made on detailed analysis of the Abu Dhabi GP.

Two weeks back and a month after the epic finale of the 2021 season, FIA confirmed that there is a detailed analysis of Abu Dhabi GP underway. The race saw the Red Bull driver Max Verstappen as a champion. The Dutch won his maiden World Drivers’ Championship, following his excellent performances over the season and flying final lap in Abu Dhabi. But his title hasn’t been acceptable to many fans of the sport as the race was as dramatic as it could’ve been.

What did the FIA President say on this matter?

Mohammed Ben Sulayem, the new president of FIA said, “We[FIA] will look into the rules, and we are sure that, if any situation like this occurs in the future, we will have an instant solution for it or avoid it even. There are many areas that we can improve.”

He added, “We cannot just sit and say we are good. No, it’s not enough in a sport as heavy, I would say, and as important.”
