Sergio Perez has impressed everyone in his stint with Red Bull. The Milton Keynes outfit had failed previously to find an ideal partner for Max Verstappen. The Dutchman has been a one man army for Red Bull and that is one of the reasons behind Red Bull not able to fight for the constructor’s championship. It seems like an eternity before Red Bull lifted the constructor’s championship.

The gap had been significant to Mercedes but the introduction of Sergio Perez has definitely closed that gap. The Mexican was absolutely brilliant for the team as he emerged as the ideal partner for Max Verstappen and also played a huge part in the last race to help his team mate win the championship. Christian Horner must be really pleased with the Mexican’s effort.

Sergio Perez has been utterly unlucky in both the races this season. He was set for a podium finish but a fuel pump issue forced him to retire. But he didn’t lose hope as he secured his first pole of his career. But on race day, everything didn’t go to plan. He looked better than everyone on track but luck was just not his side as finished P4 when he looked set to win the race.

But, these impressive performances has definitely acted as a catalyst for his contract talks. But his focus is on how to become better and win races. Sergio Perez said, “Honestly, I have been in Formula 1 for 12 years, right now I am very focused on my season. It’s something I haven’t even thought about. I am focused on giving the best results.”

“I want to continue motivating my team and getting the best possible results. It will come and it will be a quick chat whichever way you go. It’s something I haven’t thought about.” As reported by motorsport.

Sergio Perez definitely deserves a new contract with the Milton Keynes outfit as he has been spectacular for a year and a half. Besides that, he has been the perfect partner to Max Verstappen.
