Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas

Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton have shared an amazing sense of camaraderie between themselves. Although Valtteri Bottas has played as the second fiddle to Lewis Hamilton but that hasn’t taken away the feeling of him wanting to see Lewis Hamilton win the driver’s championship. Valtteri Bottas has decided to drive for Alfa Romeo this season and will be joining Guanyu Zhou as his team mate.

Valtteri Bottas is one of the most talented drivers around in F1 and an even more loyal team player. He has always helped Lewis Hamilton to win that historic eighth championship by letting him pass him when he clearly had the pace and also has defended like a beast in order to help Lewis Hamilton make some ground in the process.

The Finn has been the ‘low man on the totem pole‘ for Mercedes who has clearly preferred Lewis Hamilton over Valtteri Bottas, which is set to change with the introduction of George Russell who might not agree with this approach and would be hungry to make a name for himself.

But Valtteri Bottas was unfazed by his position. He just kept his head down and kept fighting like a loyal soldier he was for the Mercedes team. Valtteri Bottas shared his unfiltered feelings in one of his interviews.

Valtteri Bottas when he was about to leave Mercedes said, “I want to win again, and I want to bring home the fifth constructors’ title for the team.”

“Next year it will be different, the cars will change and I am sure the results will improve.”

“If I can’t win the championship, then I want Lewis to win it. But I still have a big motivation, I want individual results.” As reported by silverarrows.

Valtteri Bottas needs to be applauded for the effort that he has put in for the success of his team mate. He has been that unsung hero who helped Mercedes win another constructor’s championship. We wish him best for the future as he looks to dazzle the track for Alfa Romeo.
