“It has been outstanding,” Christian Horner impressed by high quality racing in opening two races of F1 season

Christian Horner has been there in F1 for the longest time and has seen it all. He can also feel that something special is brewing this season around. It has been a comeback of sorts for F1 which seemed to have been declining by the day. But last season gave that much needed impetus for the sport to go on and build from that solid foundation. Credit should given to FIA for doing that thus far.

FIA decided that there was a need for a massive overhaul in regulations. These changes in regulations and cars have helped the drivers to follow each other closely on the track and has also provided them with more overtaking opportunities. After the immense success of the Netflix series, ‘Drive To Survive‘, this was exactly something that was needed to launch off.

The results of the change in policies have definitely started to show. We are two races into the season but it has already been so exciting for the viewers that the anticipation for the next Grand Prix is massive. Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen have definitely turned it on. But it is just not about the racing action at the front of the grid. It has been there from the front to the back.

This has definitely caught the eye of the audience and Christian Horner has been all praises of the first two races of the season. Red Bull’s team Principal said, “The really encouraging thing about these regulations is that in the first two races we have seen Charles and Max pass each other about 10 times, which we haven’t seen in previous seasons.”

“It has been great racing between the two teams. Ferrari is very quick and we are expecting the competition to continue over the next few races.”

“Of a sample of two, you would have to say it is a big tick in the box for the ability to follow closely and race wheel to wheel. It has been outstanding.” As reported by gpfans.

Christian Horner has his work cut out in terms of dealing with the extremely quick Ferrari and win that much awaited constructor’s championship. But he has taken a minute from that to witness the top notch action he has witnessed in the first two races of the season.
