After losing the 2021 Formula 1 World title, speculations have been high upon Lewis Hamilton bidding farewell to Formula 1 even after he insisted that he’ll back stronger in the 2022 season. Especially with boss Toto Wolff confirming that he’ll be talking about the same issue with the 36-years-old recently.

With many believing that the seven-time world champion was robbed of his record-breaking 8th world championship. The catastrophe of Abu Dhabi GP seems to have got into the heart of Hamilton by all means. Speaking after the race, Hamilton insisted he’d be back. There was, however, some doubt within his words.

Earlier this year, Wolff confirmed he and Hamilton had talked about retirement in the future.

He said, “I think he knows pretty well how he feels about racing. That passion burns strongly. In a way the tough championship has ignited even more fun with us to fight, and next year looks really exciting.

“We talked about retirement and it’s always really important to have that flirt with retirement, but equally be in control of your own destiny.

“I think at this stage there is so much passion for the sport that I can see him going for a while.”
