It seems the delayed decision over who will be Mercedes’ second driver for the 2022 season shall be confirmed in the upcoming days. With young British Driver, George Russell currently being rumoured to join Mercedes for the next season over Valtteri Bottas, it seems like a hilarious mistake from Lewis Hamilton has given race fans some hint upon the same.
Ever since Toto Wolff made a statement upon the other driver being decided upon for the 2022 season, a host of speculations have been flung across the world of Formula 1 upon who will it be amongst Bottas and Russell. Especially after the latter’s brilliance at Spa-Francorchamps, it seems like he is the ideal choice.
What Mistake was made by Lewis Hamilton?
On Hamilton’s Instagram account on Tuesday evening, the seven-time world champion uploaded a cute photo of him alongside his beloved dog Roscoe on the couch. Having said that, race fans were quick to recognise that Hamilton didn’t tag his dog’s Instagram account, but instead used Russell’s social media tag.
But quickly realising his error, Hamilton changed the Instagram tag to Roscoe’s but then decided to delete the social media post altogether as fans lapped up the mistake.
Having said that, it looks like Mercedes ar thinking about their future at the moment at want a young driver to learn from Hamilton and potentially elaborate upon the legacy of the Brackley-based team.
