Lewis Hamilton reaches another special ‘milestone’ after finishing P3 at Bahrain GP

Ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix if someone had asked Mercedes’s Lewis Hamilton whether he expected a podium finish then the 7-time World Champion would have laughed it off. But the reality is that the Brit was joined the two Ferrari Drivers in an unforeseen podium.

Hamilton started the 2022 Bahrain Grand Prix fifth on the starting grid behind both the Ferrari and Red Bull drivers. Mercedes had also accepted the fact that their cars weren’t as quick as the Competitors and they were’nt expecting much following the poor performance during the qualifying session.

The incidents following the safety car restart in the 53rd lap of the race and the eventual retirement of the Red Bull cars gifted Hamilton third place on the Podium. He is now the holder of a very unique record in Formula One’s History.
