Abu Dhabi will just not go away as the discussion in one way or the other way. Now, it’s the man himself, Lewis Hamilton. The former champion has come out and revealed that he did give retirement a fair thought after that heartbreaking defeat at the hands of the current world champion Max Verstappen.

Lewis Hamilton, post the defeat, decided to maintain a low profile on social media and went on a hiatus. This helped the champion clear his mind regarding how he wanted to go about his future. While he was contemplating, he confessed that the thought of retiring crossed his mind and he entertained that thought a fair bit.

But the love for the sport and his hunger for success and excellence has brought the champion back yet again. Not only Lewis Hamilton, even drivers who were not related to the incident in any way were severely affected by the misinterpretation of the rules and mishandling of the situation.

I love F1 too much to turn my back on it now.
