Lewis has remained silent ever since the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and has not given any interviews of any sort since then. He has only made two public appearances since the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and one was when was he received the knighthood at Windsor Castle and the other was at the Mercedes Brackley Factory when Valtteri Bottas was given his much-deserved farewell.

The silence on part of Lewis has led to all the rumors that have been making the rounds ever since the Abu Dhabi Grand. Moreover, Lewis and Mercedes team Principal Toto Wolff decided to snub the FIA’s Annual Gala Ceremony and this has only helped in adding more fuel to the fire.

Mercedes recently shared a picture of Lewis Hamilton with the caption “Adversity causes some to break, others to break records.” If one is to go by what Mercedes has recently posted, it seems Lewis Hamilton is going to at least continue for one more year in Formula1.

Lewis Hamilton has a staggering Formula1 career which is full of accolades to his name and one of the major highlights of his career so far has been the 103 race wins and 103 poles that he has achieved in his career so far. As per Mercedes’s post, it seems Lewis Hamilton is preparing for battle in the 2022 season keeping the adversity of the 2021 season on the backseat.

If Lewis decides to continue in Formula1 during the 2022 season then he is going to get another chance at breaking the record that he and Micheal Schumacher share at the moment. They are both locked in at 7 world titles and with Lewis missing out in 2021, that record is still there to be broken.

There is another record that Lewis might have his eyes on during the 2022 season and that is to win at least one race every single season. Micheal and Lewis are equal here as well with at least one race win in 15 consecutive seasons.

Considering all this, one won’t be wrong to believe that Lewis is going to stay, all everyone can do now is to wait because in some time everything is going to be made clear. Pre-season testing is kicking off on 21st February and around that time in all likely hood, we are going to get a definitive answer.
