Recently crowned world champion Max Verstappen

Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton went through an epic battle as the two literally went wheel to wheel till the very last lap of the season. Obviously, one had to win and the other one had to lose, unfortunately. But irrespective of who won, it cannot be said that the other one didn’t deserve it had he won because both of them were at the peak of their powers and also rode their luck during different but crucial times.

The finale of this epic season was not ideal as it did provide a spectacle for the audience but it was far from ideal for any aficionado of F1. There were a thread of controversial decisions by the then race director Michael Masi which did taint the authenticity of the championship, which shouldn’t have been the case.

Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton both have also ridden their luck which has given them an edge at different times through the course of the season, which is absolutely fine as errors and the rub of the green is a part of any season and will continue to be the same but this has nothing to do with Max Verstappen as he took advantage of an opportunity presented to him.

He absolutely deserved it as fought like a champion throughout the season. Max Verstappen recently defended his title after criticism from Mercedes when he said, “A championship is won over a whole season. Not by one decision in the last race. I also think I deserved the title, absolutely.”

“There may be people who have only looked at the last Grand Prix. They may think I was lucky, but normally the championship would have been decided in my favour long ago.”

“It was a crazy and epic Formula 1 season. The losing team will try to take the shine off it, but on the winning side it still feels good, I can assure you.” As reported by racingnews365.

Max Verstappen has nothing to be ashamed of as he did what he was supposed to do and any other driver would have done in that situation. He absolutely deserves it for his impressive showing throughout the season.
