F1 drivers taking a firm stand against War

F1 drivers have come out and shown empathy for the people of Ukraine who continue to fight in this time of adversity, and also have taken a staunch stand against the horrific acts of Vladimir Putin. This is the time for the world to unite and stand for Ukraine as millions of innocent lives are at stake just because Vladimir Putin and Russia want to gain dominance over a piece of land and in turn take a step towards world dominance.

FIA’s response has been bleak, to say the least, as it failed to take a firm stand against the war but the drivers and the teams have not cared about FIA’s response and have gone out on a limb to show support to Ukraine. Haas decided to drop their Russian sponsors and also their Russian driver, Nikita Mazepin, from their line-up. Following Haas’ act, Sebastian Vettel also said that he wouldn’t drive in the Russian Grand Prix.

Recently, all of them decided to come together to send a message against Russia. Ahead of the Bahrain testing, all the drivers while showing support to Ukraine posed together for photos and wearing T-shirts with message which was plain and simple but also bold: NO WAR.

“Russia launched a major military assault on neighbouring Ukraine on 24 February, which has led to a rapidly-growing refugee crisis.”

Along with many international institutions the world over, F1 teams have sought to distance themselves from Russia.

“Absent from the group photo was Lewis Hamilton , who wrote on Instagram that his flight to Bahrain had been delayed, and Kevin Magnussen, whose return to F1 for 2022 was only announced on Wednesday.” As reported by racingnews365.

This is what we needed to provide some relief to Ukraine in our own capacity. This is the kind of response that we need from people and sportsmen all around the world to help a country out of their misery and despair.
