“Proud to be working for change,” Lewis Hamilton reflects on his special collaboration between his foundation, Mission 44, and Sky Sports
Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton has always publicly admitted to the fact that he wants to be seen more than just a F1 driver. The seven time world champion has been at the peak of his powers and has won every accolade in the sport that is there to be won. But the drive to become a better version of himself and the hunger to win is pretty evident for every one to see. The Briton has made it clear that he definitely wants to win that historic eight world championship.
But what’s more important for him is to try and make it F1 a more inclusive sport. Lewis Hamilton has often highlighted the fact he’s not a people pleaser and he will always say what needs to be said for the good of the society even if that makes someone uncomfortable. The success that he has been able to achieve has come at a cost for the former world champion.
Lewis Hamilton has had to struggle real hard to make it big in a sport that has been dominated by non black people. The Briton has often shared his instances of racism while he was a rookie. But that didn’t hold him back. Recently he is now working with Mission 44 and the sky group to target exclusion of black children in British schools. He expects that no child is rejected on the basis of their color.
Lewis Hamilton highlights the importance of bringing about a meaningful change in the society
This is one aspect which is very close to his heart. Lewis Hamilton said, “It was not easy to get where I am today, and I believe that everyone deserves equal opportunities.”
“Although this news was announced back in early 2022, Hamilton has only now reacted to it on Twitter and Instagram.” As reported by gpblog.
Lewis Hamilton has time and again emphasized on the importance of using his influence over a large audience to bring about a meaningful change. It’s not just words but he has also backed it with action just like this time around.
