Bad day for Red Bull as Max Verstappen retires and Sergio Perez spins out at Bahrain GP

Red Bull faced an absolute nightmare ending to a fantastic season Opener. Both Red Bull Driver Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen were out of the points towards the end of the 2022 Bahrain Grand Prix.
Max Verstappen was forced to retire from the race following a technical issue. Sergio Perez also suffered the same fate. “I lost the engine,” says Perez, and he remains stuck, beached across the track at Turn 1.
The Ferrari duo of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz finished the race P1 and P2. This is the first Ferrari 1-2 and race victory since Singapore Grand Prix in 2019. Mercedes’s Lewis Hamilton finished 3rd and claimed an unlikely podium.

Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez DNF
Max Verstappen was chasing Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc on the 53rd lap as the safety car ended. The Dutchman noticed he was suffering from power issues. Verstappen was forced to pit and retire for the race after his engineer suggested so. The issue still remains discreet as it was not discussed on the radio.
Max was P3 and was just overtaken by Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz. Sergio Perez and Hamilton followed Sainz through and overtook the Dutchman who was slowing on track. It was race over for the 2021 World Champion on his first race as a champion.
Sergio Perez spun on track while trying to overtake Sainz on the final lap of the race. He suffered some engine issues as he was not able to get the car back running. Both the drivers Did not Finish the race and Red Bull are empty-handed with zero points.
