Red Bull Racing's Team Principal Christian Horner

The rivalry between Christian Horner and Red Bull seems to intensify with every passing day ever since the historic season last year. Both the team didn’t give an inch to the other during the course of the last season and shared the spoils after an epic battle with Mercedes winning the constructor’s championship and Red Bull and Max Verstappen winning the driver’s championship.

When we thought both the teams were ready to take a breather after an exhausting season, we got that wrong. Christian Horner and Toto Wolff have continued to trade blows every time they take part in a press conference. Both of them want to stamp their authority and in a way, demand complete dominance. Hence, the classic pre season mind games are ongoing.

Toto Wolff has time and again tried to take the shine off Max Verstappen’s title. Now it’s Christian Horner’s turn. Red Bull team Principal has thrown some serious allegations at Mercedes and Toto Wolff. But this took an ugly turn when it was ‘falsely‘ reported that Christian Horner called part of the new Mercedes challenger illegal. But, Red Bull has made an official statement ‘denying‘ any sort of claims like that.

“Horner has not given any interviews regarding Mercedes’ car. Any quotes attributed to him this morning are incorrect,” said a Red Bull team’s spokesperson.

That was slightly tweaked shortly after when Red Bull added: “So we are clear, we have made no official comment regarding Mercedes’ car and will not be doing so.”

I was slightly surprised to be reading comments I’m supposed to have been making, but there we go,” Horner said.

Red Bull and Christian Horner have rubbished all these false allegations regarding any claims made by the Red Bull team principal amidst all the controversy regarding the new W-13.
