Scuderia Ferrari's team principal Mattia Binotto
Mattia Binotto and Ferrari have had a start that they they would dreamed of, at the start of the season. Both Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz have been firing on all cylinders and been able to get the best out of the car which looks extremely strong on the slow corners but a little weak on the faster ones, as compared to their arch rivals, Red Bull. The level of racing has been extremely competitive but fair at the same time.
In the opening two races, it felt like a boxing match with both teams trading blows and neither of them looking like an outright favorite for the time being. But Ferrari seems to be back in the mix with the kind of solid performances they have racked up in the opening two races. Now the key for them is to not get carried away with the results because it’s a pretty long season and tables can turn at any given point in time.
Mattia Binotto knows the value of consistency and improvement in this brutally competitive sport. The drivers need to driver with that same passion and composure, and the crew needs to continuously work on improving the car throughout the length because that’s what they couldn’t do that in 2017 and 2018, which led to them to losing a lot of ground in the process.
We are working with a budget cap which will affect the rate of development: Mattia Binotto

Mattia Binotto is an experienced campaigner and knows how to deal with situations of this sort. He has given his views on what could make or break Ferrari’s season. He said, “First, I think that keeping up the level of developments throughout the season is always a challenge, not only for us but for all the teams.”
“It is true that our competitors are very strong in that, while as Ferrari, the last time we had this opportunity in ’17 and ’18, we lost a bit of ground through development.”
“That is a key element. You know my concerns, that you need to make sure you have the right policy on that because it can be a game-changer in the fight.” As quoted by gpfans.
F1 aficionados and the loyal fans of Ferrari are elated to see the way the Italian giants have performed but are also realistic at the same time. Mattia Binotto needs to work on improving that car to make it last as a competitive machinery till the end of the season.
