As per the latest rumors floating in the world of Formula 1, Mexican ace driver, Sergio Perez is on the verge to continue his term with Red Bull in the next season. According to SoyMotor, F1 Insider Mark Hughes suggested that the spoken about driver will not accept to be the second driver for the team and would want to take the primary spot in the Austrian team. 

Especially with Helmut Marko suggesting that Red Bull are not satisfied with the output delivered by Perez, Christian Horner backed the Mexican and praised him for his efforts so far in the season. Not only that, Horner even suggested that although Pierre Gasly has been doing well, but he feels the combination of Max Verstappen and Perez could do wonders in the coming future.

Talking about the other options at disposal for Red Bull, Perez can be out-performed and over shadowed by the likes of Pierre Gasly who has been sensational for AlphaTauri. Not only the French driver has made his claim firmly, but the likes of Alex Albon could also witness a return into the Austrian side.

But with Perez ensuring his stay at Red Bull, the decision hasn’t come officially and many suggest that the remainder of the 2021 season shall confirm the Mexican’s future. Red Bull gave away a huge lead in the constructor’s standings to rivals Mercedes and with everything at stake in the remaining 11 races, let’s hope Perez could make the most of his chance.
