“Still I rise!’ Mercedes F1 driver Lewis Hamilton shared an emotional story on powerful quote which is engraved on his helmet

Lewis Hamilton is widely regarded as one of the greatest racers to grace the Formula One grid. The 7-time World Champion has won 103 races 103 pole positions and 182 podium finishes across his career, the highest by a driver.

Hamilton had humble beginnings and while his father worked multiple jobs to fund his Karting career, Hamilton battled a lack of diversity in the sport and racism. He conquered all these challenges and overcame multiple hurdles to become one of the living legends of motorsports.

By becoming a prominent advocate against racism and for increased diversity in motorsport, Hamilton has inspired millions by his deeds on and off the track. And the Briton shares the story behind his mantra in life – ‘Still I rise’, which is engraved in the back of his helmet.

The British F1 Driver talked about his mantra in life and what inspires him to keep pushing in an interview featuring Danny Hornigold and George Kurtz, CrowdStrike CEO. He shared the story behind “Still I rise” which is engraved in the back of his helmet

Hamilton shared “‘Still I Rise’ is a positive mental attitude for me because no matter how many times you get knocked down you can always know there is a way to get back up. The strongest part is how you get back up. The falling is the easier, more painful part and its how you get back and keep running along”

He went on to share an inspiring story about his brother. “When I was seven, I really wanted a brother and I prayed for it. But my brother was faced with Cerebral Palsy and I watched his life and how he struggled Physically. He always kept smiling and kept trying and that was amazing to see. If I didn’t grow up at that then maybe I wouldn’t have had the same mentality as what I have now”

Lewis Hamilton will be partnering with rookie George Russell ahead of his 10th year in Formula One with Mercedes. The Briton is confident that despite the technical regulations Mercedes will be in contention for the title and believes he can redeem his 8th World championship title.
