“The decision was quite straightforward from both sides,” Max Verstappen on signing his new ‘mega’ contract with Red Bull
Max Verstappen
Max Verstappen had a stellar last season with Red Bull as he won his maiden championship with the Milton Keynes outfit. There was absolutely no one questioning the talent of this fiesty Dutch but what was yet to be seen was whether he had the mentality to deliver at the grandest stages of it all. The current world champion didn’t disappoint one bit.
Yes, it can be agreed that he had the rub of the green went his way at the most crucial moment but when you are up against the seven time world champion, you need some bit of luck and also fortune favours the brave and it can also be agreed that Max Verstappen has been the braver of the two.
With an inferior car, Max Vertsappen went wheel to wheel with Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton. Max Verstappen has oozed confidence and some credit should also go to Red Bull who have backed him all the way back from the days when he was a rookie and Red Bull continues to back as they reward him with a bumper contract.

But we saw this coming as Max Verstappen has been a Red Bull guy all way long and his loyalty has been justly repaid by his masters. Max Verstappen also confirmed that this was not even a question from either end as both of them wanted to continue with each other without a shadow of a doubt.
Max Verstappen said, “The decision was quite straightforward from both sides. We wanted to continue.”
“Especially after winning the championship last year, for me, it’s the best team out there, so I wanted to stay.”
But Max Verstappen believes that this is just the start for him as he and Red Bull both want to build on the solid foundation they have built.
“Even after winning the championship my ambition is still to win races and try to fight for the championship again,” added Verstappen.” As reported by gpfans.
Max Verstappen might have won the championship but his goals are bigger than being just a one season wonder as he sets his sights on replicating his performances for Red Bull in the upcoming season.
