The Netflix documentary “Drive to survive” which gives fans an exclusive look into the F1 paddock has been a big part of Formula 1’s increased fan following in recent years and the fourth edition of the series will   almost certainly going to revolve around the intense and dramatic Title dual between Max Verstappen and Mercedes’s Lewis Hamilton where the Dutch Man came out victorious.

The reigning champion Max Verstappen will not be part of the newest edition of show which will showcase the controversial and dramatic season finisher in Abu Dhabi which broke the championship points deadlock to the disappointment of fans. Max Verstappen secured the world title following an unlapping decision from Race Director Michael Masi allowing him to overtake the race leader Lewis Hamilton in the last lap of the race.

The premier of “Drive to survive” season 4 is expected to follow the same pattern as its old seasons , which were aired few weeks before the following season began, aligning the release with the 2022 season opener.

Red Bull’s Dutchman was clear about why he doesn’t want to feature in the show which will feature the drama inside the F1 paddock. Max Verstappen said though he understands they show is produced to boost F1 popularity in America he doesn’t like to be part of it from a driver’s perspective. Max Verstappen went on to explain his stance saying he prefers facts and alleged that the Netflix show faked few enmities among the drivers adding he is not big fan of drama.

“I understand that it needs to be done to boost the popularity in America. But from my side as a driver, I don’t like being part of it,” Max Verstappen told the Associated Press.

“They faked a few rivalries which don’t really exist. So, I decided to not be a part of it and did not give any more interviews after that because then there is nothing you can show. I am not really a dramatic show kind of person, I just want facts and real things to happen,” Max Verstappen added.

Lewis Hamilton‘s who lost out on the chance to secure a record 8th world title thanks to the controversial decision from Michael Masi, appearance on the show is also not guaranteed. Though it may not feature the title rivals fans are awaiting for an exclusive look into the season which will host intense Mercedes and Red Bull battle on and of the track.
