Valtteri Bottas on the relentless nature of Lewis Hamilton’s performances
While reflecting on his time at Mercedes he has given a special mention to the former 7-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. During Valtteri’s time at Mercedes, Lewis won 4 driver’s championships whereas Valtteri was only able to act in a supporting role to Lewis. Valtteri admitted that “I can’t say I exceeded anything. Where I feel like I failed, obviously I didn’t manage to win the driver’s championship. But it wasn’t simple alongside Lewis. He always got the upper hand.”
Valtteri while talking about the 2021 season said that as his career the 2021 season was also full of bad luck as he had quite a few crashes and was given engine penalties throughout the season. Valtteri thinks he was a bit hard done by at Mercedes and could have had more success if luck was with him during the 5 years at Mercedes.
