“Winning Against Red Bull is a Must”: Lewis Hamilton Puts a Lot of Pressure
Lewis Hamilton
The previous occasion when Formula 1 copnsisted of a sprint qualifying session, it was Lewis Hamilton who took the highest honors. Now, with the Italian Grand Prix consisting of the same, expectations are high from the seven-time world champion to take back his lead in the driver’s standings against Max Versatppen.
Having made a remarkable comeback before the summer break, Hamilton will hope to secure his lead against all odds. Knowing that the circuit in Monza is going to suit Mercedes more than Red Bull, the ace British driver would be keen on making an impact since the first day.
What was Stated by Lewis Hamilton?
He said at the Warm-Up Weekend the following, ”Beating Red Bull in both races is not crucial, but it is a must. They’ve won the last two races”, after which Hamilton recovers and says: ”Or well, the race before wasn’t a race, but they won that one. But at least we can’t afford to lose any more points.”
”I lost a lot of ground in the first sprint race, but this one in Monza can be more fun because of the long straights so you will see more overtaking than in Silverstone. If you had done the first lap in Silverstone, it wasn’t really a race anymore. Hopefully you will see more overtaking here”, concluded the seven-time world champion.
