The driver shared his message in a simple text form. It was written in both English and Spanish, the driver’s native language. Sainz expressed his disbelief at the possibility of Russia’s like actions in Ukraine in today’s world and hoped for an end to the whole conflict as soon as possible.

The message in English reads: I’m closely following what is happening in Ukraine and it’s horrifying to see something like this happening nowadays, whether it’s here or in any other part of the world. I hope this conflict comes to an end as soon as possible. All my thoughts are with Ukraine and its people. Inocent civilians are losing their lives and I’m praying for all this suffering to end immediately.

Yesterday, Mercedes driver and seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton also shared his strong contempt over the whole situation. And F1 announced the cancellation of the 2022 Russian GP, which was due to be held in September.
