BATTLE OF THE TITANS: Italian giants Ferrari look to finally come to grips with Mercedes in this upcoming season of Formula 1

Ferrari and Mercedes
Ferrari hasn’t been its usual self in the last few years and has struggled to match stride with Mercedes who have been head and shoulders above the chasing pack. The most disappointing aspect of this transition phase has been the lack of intent to compete.
But that might change this season as the phoenix looks set to rise from the ashes and bring back the glory days and reach the apogee of the sport yet again which has been occupied by Mercedes for the longest time.
There has been a lot of controversy around the 2019 season when it was accused of tampering with fuel flow sensors which in turn allowed the engine to be fed more fuel without coming in notice of the sensors. This would help Ferrari as they fancied more horsepower than the competition at the climacteric.
This coerced the FIA to look into the matter at the earliest and led to issuing a technical directive which banned Ferrari to compete at the highest level. They made a recovery of sorts in the last season but they still lack competitive edge against the likes of Mercedes and Red Bull.
Mercedes Team Pricipal Toto Wolff missed Ferrari at the peak of their powers and is looking forward to them locking horns with Mercedes
Toto Wolff when asked in an interview on his views on Ferrari regaining its form, said, “As a fan, I love Ferrari. They are the greatest name in Formula 1 and it cannot be that Ferrari are not competing for race victories and titles. Winning championships is something different, mainly things have to come together to achieve that.”
“For all of us, fans of the sport, Ferrari need to be in the mix. We have missed them in the last few years. The passion of everyone at Ferrari and the Tiffosi, it is important to see the car is competitive. I hope there will be a few of us able to win races and fighting hard on the track.” As reported by gpblog.
All fans around the world have been waiting for the legends of Formula 1 to compete at the highest level and dethrone the current kings of Formula 1. But at the same time we need to understand that Mercedes is ready for the challenge and have prepared well to shrug off any attack from the Italian giants which spices it all up.
