Carlos Sainz gives positive update about future at Ferrari amidst contract renewal talks

Ferrari driver, Carlos Sainz had a commendable debut season with Ferrari. The Spaniard had a wonderful season with the Prancing Horse, scoring 3 podiums and finishing 5th in the World Drivers Championship. This was Sainz’s highest finish in the season.
Considering the consistent performances by the Spanish driver which helped Ferrari finish 3rd in the constructor’s championship, Ferrari is holding talks with Carlos Sainz in order to extend his Contract. Ferrari had finished 6th the previous season which was their worst performance in over 40 years.
Sainz is happy at Ferrari and quoted the atmosphere at Ferrari as “Full of energy and positivity. I think last year’s experience did us all good. In the corridors, in Maranello, I meet smiling, toned and confident people. I don’t see stress, I see the desire to do well.”

Carlos Sainz says atmosphere at Ferrari “Full of energy and positivity”
The news surrounding the contract negotiations was reported by the Italian news media Corriere Della Sera. They posted the following tweet on their social media handle which broke the news surrounding the Spaniard’s interest in staying with the Italian racing outfit.
Sainz said regarding the negotiations that “As Binotto said, we are both satisfied, we intend to continue together and this winter is an opportunity to find an agreement. We are trying. Becoming a world champion with Ferrari is my highest ambition. I would like to renew as soon as possible”
Sainz joined Ferrari on a two-year contract from the 2021 season partnering with Charles Leclerc and replacing four-time world champion, Sebastian Vettel. His ability to adapt quickly to Ferrari in such a short span and with consistent performances was widely applauded.
