For most of the spectators and fans around the World, owning a piece of f1 might mean buying a cap or t-shirt at a Grand Prix but for f1 car lovers and especially Fernando Alonso’s fans, it is a lucky day and opportunity to own a F1 car driven by the Spaniard.
Fernando Alonso has had 32 wins and 98 podiums throughout his career ad holds the record of the only Spaniard to have won two Formula One World Championship titles. The auction of the 2004 Renault R24 is one among the many other cars took place at RM Sotheby’s in Paris. The famous blue and yellow livery with Mild Seven and Telefonica sponsorship was complete with the same steering wheel as the original model which can be recognised on the final three races of the 2004 tracks of China, Japan and Brazil.
As reported by Planet F1, The 2004 Renault R24-07 chassis, which was expected to sell for up to £385,000, only made £217,808 when converted at the current exchange rate from a figure of 258,125 euros.
The Spaniard finished fourth, fifth, and fourth in those races, finishing a distant fourth in the Drivers’ standings to Ferrari’s Michael Schumacher, with a best result earlier that year of second place from pole position at the French Grand Prix.

An Alfa Romeo 155 V6 with Jägermeister advertising that was privately sold following the auction A 1930 Cadillac V-16 Roadster in the Fleetwood style cost just over £126,000.
A 1996 Ferrari F310 Formula 1 show car was also among the lots to be sold, and, unlike the Renault, the hammer fell for much more than expected – £182,240, when it was expected to sell for between £50,000 and £85,000.
A 1963 Aston Martin DB4 Convertible available had an estimated sale price of more than £1 million but fell just short at a little more than £953,000, while a rare Ferrari F50 was listed as the most expensive item available, with a predicted price tag of between £2.5million and £2.75million.
