Red Bull Racing's Team Principal Christian Horner

What is a well established fact is that Red Bull Racing’s Team Principal Christian Horner and Mercedes’ Team Principal Toto Wolff fancy a good session of banter between the two of them. They make sure to utilize every opportunity to the maximum if it means bringing the other one down.

The tension between them only seems to increase with each passing season. The tension is at a maximum level now considering Wolff’s bitterness towards having 7-time world championship winner Lewis Hamilton lose out to Christian Horner’s prodigy driver Max Verstappen. With the brand new season of hit Formula One series ‘Drive to Survive’ due to be released this month, the two team bosses are looking forward to spilling their heart out about their views on the other one on the documentary.

This time, Horner took the first dig at Wolff by hinting at the latter “inheriting” that he has at Mercedes now, instead of working tirelessly for it. “He has not had to build anything. He operates the team in a much different way to me. He is much more motivated by the financials of F1 than perhaps the competition, “added Horner in reference to Toto establishing himself in the sport as a team principal.

In a different interview, Mercedes’ Team Principal Toto Wolff was made aware of the things that Christian Horner had to say about him. To that, the former Austrian racing driver replied, “I don’t care what others are doing. It’s about optimising my contribution in the team without looking elsewhere.”

The fourth season of Netflix series ‘Drive to Survive’ that is due to be released on March 11, will follow the intense activities that took place in the 2021 season of Formula One. Fans can be assured that they’ll get the golden opportunity to watch the digitalized version of the intense showdown between Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen and Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi which concluded the 2021 season.

It was Dutch driver Verstappen who clinched his maiden championship title that day. What is certain is that this season we’ll get to experience an even more fiercer rivalry between the two along with the usual digs between Wolff and Horner. Lewis Hamilton has claimed that he’s going to push to his optimum level this season.
