The seven-time F1 world champion Mercedes’ driver, Lewis Hamilton, has a new fan, and it’s none other than the latest Spiderman, Tom Holland. Recently, in an interview, the British actor shared his thoughts and how much he admires Hamilton. Lewis Hamilton is also the only black driver in the history of the sport.
Lewis Hamilton began his racing career from karting back in 1993. The driver comes from a humble family and has often shared his story of struggle in racing. He has also talked about the sacrifices that his family had to make so he could pursue his dream of becoming an F1 driver.
Lewis has also been hailed by many as the greatest of the sport. He also received the prestigious knighthood in 2021.

“If you look at Lewis Hamilton and is career, he is someone I am impressed by and every day he is making history. In a sport that is so elitist, he has broken every record. I am so unbelievably impressed by his work ethic and grace. He’s a great guy,” added Tom Holland.
While few may disagree with F1 being an elitist sport, it’s true to everyone that it takes a fortune to be part of the racing grid. And Hamilton has set an example for everyone that someone with no legacy and less fortune can also make it to the top of the sport. He has explicitly shared his struggles of being a black driver in the sport in his interviews.
The driver has received praise from other celebs as well including, Samuel L Jackson, Justin Bieber, and Anthony Joshua.
Lewis Hamilton has been an activist and has used his influence to make a positive change in the past. He has been an advocate for diversity, anti-racism, human rights, environmental, and animal rights. The driver has set a bar too high for future drivers to keep up.
