Yuki would like to carry that same impetus into 2022 season with a lot more pressure than before. Since Tsunoda has the potential to deliver results, he seems to feel more pressure to perform than last year. However, Yuki does not feel the pressure as a burden but instead uses it to motivate himself. “It’s a good kind of pressure, which motivates me when I’m training,” said Yuki.

Since the young driver has gotten some experience last year, Yuki happens to be known how to prepare for a good performance. He also claims to have identified his flaws and will be able to capitalise on the experience he gained as a rookie last year.

“Last year, if anything unexpected or unusual happened, I couldn’t adapt quickly enough to deal with the situation, which is why I struggled in a lot of races,” Tsunoda says, adding that he hopes to be free of that issue by 2022.
