“I don’t have that level of confidence,” Lando Norris hesitant on following Lewis Hamilton’s fashion style

Lando Norris

Lando Norris is one of the most well-known faces in F1. In an interview with the magazine GQ.com, the McLaren driver Lando Norris speaks about his upcoming fashion line with his ESports team Quadrant.

Lando became one of the youngest drivers ever to drive in Formula 1, and now, with McLaren on the major side of his career, he’s diving into the fashion market as well.

The driver is seen as one of the most promising talents in F1, which also prompted McLaren to sign a contract extension until 2025 with the young Briton. Norris impressed everyone with his spectacular drive in Sochi when he stayed ahead of the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton for the whole race until it started to rain.

Asking the question of what kind of merch the brand will have, Norris said, “That’s the tricky line to try and cross. The Formula 1 stuff is very much the merchandise side of it. The Quadrant stuff is more what I would love to walk down the street and see people wearing casually, rather than just because they’re a Formula 1 fan.

“I want it to be more things that people would wear every day and night. It’s where I can represent the casual side of me, the normal side of me, not the Formula 1 racing driver side,” concluded Lando.

Will Lando Norris follow the steps of Lewis Hamilton in his outfits?

Lando was asked if he’d be seen in the kind of outfits that Lewis Hamilton is often seen in. To which he replied, “No. Not quite that. I don’t have that level of confidence just yet. Maybe that’s a few years away. But we have some really cool stuff coming up actually, which isn’t too far away. I just signed off on a lot of the things.”

The driver says this is more of a personal project for him and is something not influenced by F1. The clothing line will have more of his personal dressing touches.

He added, “This is just purely and 100% me, what I like, what I like to wear, what I can represent. So it’s really cool. From my side, I’m learning what people want. A lot of it’s what is my interest, what I want, but I also want to make people happy and to give them something that they’ll love as well.”

Lando is excited and looking forward to racing in Miami, USA, this year. For him, Miami being the new circuit will be exciting, and the fact that celebrities would want to be there will give it a Monaco-like vibe.
