In Photos: A look at ‘Fluro Papaya’ McLaren MCL36 from all angles

McLaren mean business this season. They have gone about everything in style and we can clearly see that this is all part of a long project. The aspirations and goals of Team McLaren seem to be in consonance with their actions.

The wait for this beast is over for McLaren Fans for their new car after the overhaul in regulations and introduction of more overtaking maneuvers in all the circuits as posted on Twitter. Starting from locking a 4 year contract to Lando Norris to unveiling this new car, a long term vision is vividly evident.

Lando posted a bunch of pictures on Instagram with him being in the unveiling event along with the car captioned, “I don’t like it, I love it.”

McLaren finished 4th in the constructors’ championship which was their best finish since 2012 with one win for Daniel Riccardo at Monza and Lando Norris following him which ensure a one-two for the duo.

Will this be the breakthrough season for McLaren?

McLaren’s MCL36

 The company has been making steady progress in the previous season but they haven’t been able to have that breakthrough season. The gap has definitely become closer relatively to pace setter Red Bull and Mercedes but to beat them, it would need to continue the upward trajectory.

“Over the last year the team has been hard at work developing the MCL36, seeking to take advantage of any opportunities we might find in the design and production of these new cars,” said Team Principal Andreas Seidl.

Norris said: “Last year was my best in Formula 1 so far, and I’m really proud of what I achieved as a driver, and what we achieved as a team. But I know that the best is yet to come, and my aim is to carry the positive momentum we built up over the last year and take that with me into this exciting new era of Formula 1 as reported by formula 1

It will be very exciting as to how McLaren’s season will fare with their more advanced and equipped car and also we will have to keep a close eye on if Lando norris’s talent mixed with Daniel Riccardo’s experience can be the perfect formula for McLaren to achieve their goals.
