Lewis Hamilton just ended his two-month long social media exile last week, as the Briton gave an update on his future. He has more or less confirmed his involvement in the 2022 F1 season, as the Briton aims to see off his two-year contract at the very least.

Peter Hain gave his opinion on the leaked audio clip, and it was certainly a very assertive opinion on the FIA. “Conclusively confirms my original view expressed afterwards that the result had been rigged to stop @LewisHamilton winning as he should have done. Shameful,” Peter tweeted.

In a latest turn of events, FIA have accepted the fact that they were aware of the leaked clip which has surfaced on social media. FIA have looked into their rule-books to make sure such events do not happen again in the future. The rules in F1 are pretty subjective, moreover, the director has the power to control the safety car. This is potentially the rule that allowed Masi to direct the lapped cars to unlap themselves after just before the safety car was called in.
