Fortnite Rail gun is one of the new weapons introduced in its season 7 along with the Invasion and alien theme gameplay. The new Rail Gun in Fortnite is like a Charge Shotgun, but instead of being short-range, it is a long-range weapon.
The Rail Gun in Fortnite charges for a set period of time before increasing the charge for as long as players hold down the fire button. When it gets maximum charge or when players release the trigger, it fires. The article speaks about the locations and quests surrounding the Fortnite Rail Gun.
Fortnite Rail Gun Locations
Eliminating an opponent using the Rail Gun is one of the season 7 week 1 challenge. Joining a Team Rumble match and waiting for Storm Circle to close in so that there are a lot of opponents in a small space is the quickest way to get an elimination with a Rail Gun. Since these are common weapons, there aren’t fixed spots to look for them but here are two best ways to get them:
- Inside IO Chests in IO bases
- Loot from IO Guards
The Fortnite Rail Gun emits a red laser when being charged up which is a pretty good indicator of your location for anyone that happens to notice the beam. The ideal method to use the Rail Gun is to get used to the charge time and master your shots so that you can strike as soon as you’ve locked in on an opponent. When you fire a shot at full charge, the spread and strength of the shot increase, making it more likely to hit your opponent and deal more damage. A shot with this much energy will pierce through solid walls.
At an unnamed base towards the west of Steamy Stack, there are two IO Chests where you can find the Rail Guns. The first is located on the northeastern spot of the unnamed base left of Steamy Stacks, just at the side of the door that leads outside. The IO Chest is found on top of a table next to some lockers.
