Francis Ngannou has been out of MMA action since he left UFC to follow other ventures. Despite the inactivity, the former UFC heavyweight champion still has a massive fan base. Now after two years the ‘Predator’ has finally announced his next MMA fight.

Francis Ngannou left UFC after the promotion failed to negotiate a new deal with the heavyweight superstar. While many thought it was a career-ending move, the fighter proved everyone wrong by getting a multi-million deal with PFL. A year after joining the promotion, Ngannou will finally make his debut against Renan Ferreira this October.

During his time off from MMA, Francis Ngannou tried his luck in professional boxing. He fought some big names such as Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. Although Ngannou lost against Fury, he put on a great performance. However, the hype came crashing down after his brutal knockout loss against Joshua.

Inside the octagon, Francis Ngannou has remained undefeated since 2018. Ngannou is a knockout specialist and has a whopping 12 KO finishes in his 20-fight MMA career. Being a fan favorite, people are super excited to see Ngannou back in his natural habitat.

Fight fans react to Francis Ngannou’s PFL debut in October 

Francis Ngannou recently visited Joe Rogan‘s podcast where he talked about a variety of things. Other than going into detail about his son’s death, the fighter also mentioned his upcoming fight. Ngannou had planned to fight PFL champion Renan Ferreira and it seems like his wish has been granted.

Both fighters are known for their brutal power and ability to finish opponents in a flash. It is most probably going to be a striking showdown and fans are down for it. As expected many fans were excited to see Francis Ngannou finally making his much anticipated MMA comeback. Some were confused as to why it took the PFL so long to finally announce the fight.
