Saudi Arabia has been organizing some of the biggest fights in boxing in recent years. This is mainly due to Turki Alalshikh, Saudi Arabia’s Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority. He has been able to bring the biggest fighters into one place along with their promoters together. Similarly, Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren were also able to work together because of this. However, now Alalshikh has reignited their previous rivalry with a 5v5 card between their promotions.
Matchroom Boxing and Queensberry promotions have had an intense rivalry for several years. However, for the first time, they have set a fight card with five fighters from each promotion. The boxers have been handpicked by each promoter to represent their company. Furthermore, Saudi Arabia has been providing top-notch cinematic trailers for their huge events. Simultaneously, they delivered an eye-catching and exciting trailer that revealed the boxers in the 5v5 card.
In the trailer, both promoters come face-to-face to reveal the fighters in a setting that is similar to a game of cards. The intensity of their promotion’s rivalry can be felt from the get-go. Subsequently, they announced the fighters with unique and interesting nicknames to follow a theme in the trailer. The whole thing was reminiscent of a Guy Ritchie film. The main job of a promoter is to sell a fight, and both Eddie Hearn and Warren were completely in their element.
Hence, the trailer was quite well put together, both in terms of storytelling and cinematography. Furthermore, the fighters in the card are Deontay Wilder vs. Zhilei Zhang, Filip Hrgovic vs. Daniel Dubois, Ray Ford vs. Nick Ball, Craig Richards vs. Willy Hutchinson, and Ammo Williams vs. Hamzah Sheeraz.

After years of a frosty relationship, Britain’s two biggest promoters ended their rivalry and worked together on a series of world-class events in Saudi Arabia in the past six months. This has also now caused them to organize a historic 5v5 card between their promotions. Furthermore, both promoters have agreed to a hilarious bet that will be carried out after the fight.
Each fighter in the 5v5 card has an impressive boxing record, and the event is expected to be huge. However, a bet has been set in place if the event ends up being one-sided. As such, if all of Frank Warren‘s fighters win their fights, then Matchroom’s Frank Smith has to wear a French maid’s outfit and serve tea at Warren’s office for a day.
Similarly, if Matchroom’s boxers win all their fights, then Queensberry’s Andy Ayling has to be dressed as a butler and do the same. Hence, both promoters have made their upcoming event even more interesting for each other.
