The Vikings have had a terrible start against the Colts.
The Minnesota Vikings may want to consider changing the name of their team. The team faced the Indianapolis Colts in week 14 of the NFL, Saturday games are rare and Vikings fans will pray that the team does not get any Saturday games in the future. The team is currently first in the NFC North, however, judging by their performance at halftime in the matchup against Indy, there is nothing Viking-like about it.
Minnesota is down 33-0, at halftime. They are losing to the Colts, a team that has a 4-8-1 record this season. For some reason, the Vikings offense has failed to show up to tonight’s game. It is not just the weather that is cold in Minnesota, the team’s offense is as cold if not worse than the actual weather.
At halftime, Kirk Cousins has thrown for just 43 yards. Yes, you read that right. 43 yards in an entire half. The Vikings brought backup QB Ryan Wright out toward the end, that is how bad the game got. Dalvin Cook, the running back has not had the best game either as he fumbled the football and failed to convert on a pivotal fourth down play. To add to their woes, the Vikings had one of their punts blocked.
The Minnesota Vikings offense has been cold the entire game:

With the manner in which this game is going, it appears that Minnesota will remain scoreless. If they did get their act together at halftime, the team may at best end up putting 10 points on the board at this rate. After this horrific performance, NFL fans were outraged at what they were being subjected to watch, take a look at some of the Twitter reactions:
The Vikings somehow manage to give you hope and then destroy those hopes toward the end of the season.
Straight-up facts.
Can feel his pain.
Maybe the Vikings decided to challenge themselves and not even try this game.
Horrendous.
Have you seen the score? How can you blame them?
Ouch.
UPDATE: The Vikings did fight back, and we are headed into overtime. Props to Minnesota for its efforts and especially Kirk Cousins, who has redeemed himself after halftime by throwing for 373 yards and 4 touchdowns.
