It has been a tough challenge for IPL 2021 to continue, and also it is now becoming challenging to conduct esports LAN tournaments. Garena is conducting its first global LAN event in 2021 (the Free Fire World Series 2021) after had an experience with an online tournament just in 2020. Singapore will be the hosting place for the Free Fire Tournament on 22 May and 30 May 2021. Due to the mandatory two weeks quarantine, the qualified teams reached Singapore early on.

Free Fire Brazilian player tested positive for Covid-19
Free Fire Brazil Esports recently tweeted that a Brazilian player tested positive for Covid-19 when he entered Singapore and had been taken immediately to the hospital to be treated. The player had tested negative before entering the flight and those who came in close contact with the player were recognized and been sent to a special facility to get quarantined. The player has recovered and been discharged safely from the hospital.
Garena stated in a statement that the safety and wellbeing of health of all involved remain their prime concern and will strive to progress with the officials for FFWS 2021’s security and success.
Previously, players from India (Galaxy Racer and Team Elite), Pakistan (Team TG) and Team Riot (Team Riot) had been restricted from the tourney due to the ban on travel from South Asian countries to Singapore.
The 18 top teams from 11 regions of the world will play in the top title and tremendous USD 2 million prize money in the World Series.

These are the teams will be competing after the ban restrictions imposed on teams of South Asian countries to Singapore. It is not a great news for Indian viewers but that was necessary.
