From Shaq to Phelps: 5 athletes other than Usain Bolt who have trademarked their iconic moments

Usain Bolt in his iconic victory pose

Legendary sprinter Usain Bolt has decided to trademark his pose of himself with his arms crossed and pointing upward. The pose is synonymous with Bolt, who has celebrated several times in the same way, especially on the great Olympic stage. The iconic pose is well remembered from the time when Bolt sprinted his way to a 100m world record at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Bolt has submitted a request to the USPTO for the same, and he intends to use the logo in sports bars, restaurants, as well as on apparel, jewellery, and shoes. Seeing Bolt’s unique trademark, it led into a deep dive of which other athletes had trademarked such iconic moments- and the list is quite long. Nevertheless, here are 5 athletes who have trademarked themselves not only in the sport, but out of it as well.
