Gagan Narang took to Instagram to talk about the developments over the course of the last few weeks. He opened up about the ’emotionally draining lows and overwhelming highs in a short span of time’. He said, “Being an athlete, I must say that this is nothing new to me, however, it is never easy to prepare for mishaps. But sports teaches how to rise after every fall. It was disheartening to see our Hyderabad academy flooded with ceiling high water last month… The flood may have done a lot of damage, but it didn’t dampen our spirits.”

Narang then compared the ‘force’ of the water during the floods to the force that he had ‘put in the right direction 10 years ago’ which has helped him open the high performance center. The Olympic medalist stated that he was proud and humble to see his efforts take the shape of the center. Narang stated that the center would ‘scout, train and nurture shooters who will make the country proud by winning medals at the Olympics’.
