The retired boxer Floyd Mayweather usually makes headlines because of his flamboyant lifestyle, which reflects his immense wealth. Furthermore, Mayweather is also known for traveling across the world and has often visited Dubai. However, recently, Gervonta Davis has claimed that Mayweather is stuck in Dubai. This, of course, garnered a lot of attention, but now it doesn’t appear to be a joke since renowned boxing promoter, Rick Glaser also confirmed this.

Earlier this week, Davis threw shade at Mayweather by calling him a hater. Furthermore, he uploaded a clip of his recent interview, in which Money spoke about his accomplishments. As such, Davis revealed that Mayweather talks about these things but is stuck in Dubai because of unpaid debts. Tank also claimed that Mayweather owes money to Saudi Arabia. Similarly, Glaser has confirmed this and provided fans with an insight into the situation.

The boxing promoter confirmed that Floyd Mayweather does owe a substantial amount of money to people in Dubai. As such, the government court system in Dubai takes matters relating to debt quite seriously.

Glaser also revealed that the debt is not related to boxing in any way. He also mentioned that Mayweather is trying to fix the situation, but no solutions have emerged so far. Hence, Glaser’s confirmation has now caused Tank’s claims to be taken much more seriously.

Mayweather promotes the next Gervonta Davis

It is no secret that Mayweather was an integral part of Davis’ career at the beginning. However, because of several disagreements, they parted ways back in 2023. Now their relationship has soured to the point where they throw shade at each other on social media.

Hence, after their relationship deteriorated, Mayweather appears to have already found the perfect replacement for Gervonta Davis. As such, Money has been promoting his upcoming protege, Jursly Vargas. The young boxer’s height and immense punching power caused him to be directly comparable to Davis.

In November 2022, the Curacao-born fighter made his professional debut. He was able to knock out his opponent, Yanko Naydenov, in the first round itself. Subsequently, the performance caught Mayweather’s attention, and he signed the fighter shortly after.
